How We Build Your Custom Timber Deck
From intimate garden decks to expansive lodge entertainment areas, DAP has been building timber decks across the Lowveld since 1999. Every deck is engineered for Nelspruit’s climate — heavy summer rains, intense UV, and high humidity.
Free Site Assessment
We visit your property to assess the site, check drainage, measure available space, and discuss your vision. We also check for any sloping ground or access constraints that may affect the build.
Material Selection & Quote
We recommend the best timber for your needs and budget — teak, balau, oregon pine, or meranti. You get a detailed quote covering decking, substructure, balustrades, and labour.
Construction & Finishing
We install the substructure with stainless steel fixings, lay the decking boards with hidden fasteners, and apply a protective sealant. All work complies with SANS building regulations.
Final Inspection & Care Guide
DAP personally inspects every deck before sign-off. You receive a care guide with maintenance tips to keep your deck looking beautiful for years.
Materials & Quality
We use only premium hardwoods and treated timber suitable for the Lowveld climate. All decks feature stainless steel screws and hidden fasteners as standard — essential in Mpumalanga where humidity causes ordinary fixings to rust within months.
